CIR alumni form a network spanning the globe, and many are leaders in fields as diverse as higher education, policy research, government, journalism, and business. They engage regularly with current students through career panels as well as by advertising job opportunities through the CIR listserv. - Recruit CIR graduates: Thank you for your interest in hiring CIR students and alumni. CIR has an in-house Career Services department led by Shelly L. Robinson. CIR also collaborates closely with UChicagoGRAD, which is UChicago’s graduate student affairs office. Career Services invites you to:
- Post jobs and internships.
- Mentor a CIR student.
- Host an on-campus or virtual information session attended by graduate students.
- Attend or sponsor one of our two annual career conferences.
- Interview advanced trainees virtually or on campus.
- Allow us to create a custom package of offerings that meets your hiring objectives.

- CIR on LinkedIn | If you’re already a member of LinkedIn, consider joining the CIR Group to professionally connect with CIR alumni in a host of careers and industries. Look for CIR in Alumni Groups.
- CIR on Facebook | If you’re already a member of Facebook registered as a University of Chicago alum, consider joining the central CIR page to see what your classmates are up to and get general updates and information from the program.
