Professional Career Placement

CIR places more graduates in research, in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, than any other field. Looking at the Class of 2020, 91% of our graduates accepted full-time employment or were accepted into doctoral programs within 9 months of graduation. When contract and part-time roles were added, this outcome increased to 96% (2020 CIR Placement Survey).

A Wide Range of Careers

One of the greatest benefits to interdisciplinary study is the ability to customize learning and possible career trajectories based on the interests of the individual. For that very reason, there is great diversity in the types of positions, organizations, and industries where CIR graduates have accepted offers.
