My two years in CIR in the University of Chicago prepared me for the rigors of a U.S PhD and academic life. I gained a broad and deep education in International Relations Theory, Political Theory and History.

Current Students

Students in lecture hall

Students in the 2007-2008 CIR cohort present interests encompassing international law, U.S. foreign policy, strategic studies, IPE, globalization, asymmetric warfare, suicide terrorism, public health in developing countries, and human rights.

The class has 12 women and 29 men. Age ranges from 21 to 29. 14% are international students from China, Poland, Serbia, Taiwan, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Undergraduate and graduate institutions represented in this year's class include: NYU, University of Washington, Georgetown, Virginia Military Institute, Willamette, McGill, Boston University, University of Chicago, UC Berkeley, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, King's College (Cambridge), University of Texas, Lehigh, UC San Diego, Seoul National University and University of Florida.
