Carla Stuart, CIR 2003
Director
New York City Global Partners, Inc.
I received my MA from the University of Chicago in 2003. While a part of CIR, I completed my MA thesis under the direction of Professor Robert Pape on the role of international institutions to balance aggressive state behavior. Before joining CIR, I graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a double major in political science and history. I spent part of my undergraduate studies at the American University of Paris where I studied twentieth century European history. Before arriving at Chicago, I interned at the International Social Science Council at UNESCO in Paris. After leaving CIR, I joined Scholars at Risk (SAR) based at New York University where I worked as the senior program officer and now am employed as a Director with New York City Global Partners, Inc. I also volunteer with Amnesty International Brooklyn and with Bellevue Hospital’s Program for Survivors of Torture.
