I came to the University of Chicago after working for a few years in Russia. It had become clear to me that to advance any further in my career, I would need a master's degree. CIR offered a solid and diverse program in one year, allowing me to return to the work force sooner than if I had attended a less accelerated program. After finishing my courses at the University, I returned to Russia to work and finish up my thesis and found that having the backing of The University of Chicago and its faculty allowed me to pursue research in the most unusual of places! While I have since returned to Chicago, I continue to work in international relations and consider the experience gained through getting my degree from CIR to be of the utmost value.
