Adam Freeman, CIR 2007
Assistant Editor, Ethics & International Affairs
Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs

With the diverse cultural and disciplinary background of the CIR cohort, coupled with the opportunities the program provides to have serious, focused, and memorable discussions with a variety of other colleagues—from engaged undergraduates to talented and well-trained PhD students—graduates of CIR leave with a greater ability not only to generate and develop valuable ideas, but also to communicate their value to multiple audiences. The upgrade in analytical skills provided by CIR enabled me to ease straight into a job at a think tank that bridges the worlds of academia, policy-making, and public education.
