I came to CIR after working two years with the Department of Justice-Antitrust Division. My undergraduate studies focused primarily on American history and politics, and while I enjoyed my tenure with the federal government, I realized that in order to make the foray into the international policy world, I would need to expand my knowledge base.

CIR afforded the perfect opportunity to strengthen my core knowledge in the areas of international theory, history and policy while also giving me the chance to study under the tutelage of world-renowned experts in the field of IR. Additionally, the duration of the program allowed me to seamlessly transition from graduate school back into the workforce after one year. The multi-disciplinary nature of the program, teamed with the depth and breadth of the coursework, have helped tremendously in my professional life. My current position involves investigative research and risk analysis - all of which rely heavily on research, writing and analytical thinking - and I know that CIR was instrumental in cultivating these skills.
