Ashoka: Innovators for the Public
Johannesburg, South Africa
CIR was a great opportunity for me to build upon my undergraduate studies at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and enhance my understanding of the intricacies surrounding international relations. The critical analysis, multidisciplinary course offerings, and academic rigor I encountered at CIR all have se! rved me well in my current position in the field of international development where I help manage Ashoka's programming in Africa. Ashoka is a global citizen sector organization that identifies and invests in social entrepreneurs known as Ashoka Fellows. Ashoka's investment in its Fellows is a uniquely effective development approach that fosters the replication of high-impact systems and institutions that create innovative solutions to social problems. CIR has helped me become an agent of social change.
