I came to CIR with a Bachelor's degree in Management and a desire to learn more about international relations. The interdisciplinary nature of the program allowed me to quickly "catch up" on basic theory and gave me the opportunity to delve into further areas of interest.

Submitting Your Thesis

Congratulations! If you are at this step of the process, you have a graded, final copy your MA thesis ready to be added to the archive. That's no small feat!

  • Be sure your document is properly & carefully proofread.
  • Your thesis MUST be saved as a .pdf
  • Your thesis should be saved as "last name first initial" (i.e. Hans Morgenthau would  save his document morgenthauh.pdf)

Using the CIR Thesis Archive

The CIR Thesis Archive offers current CIR students the opportunity to search and download all CIR theses submitted in or after the winter quarter, 2008.

In order to access the CIR Thesis Archive, you must register for an account & password, which requires an Social Sciences Computing Services (SSCS) password.

Once you are in the archive, you may search the papers by using up to two terms in the search box in the upper right corner; terms may be author name, keywords, discipline, preceptor or words from the title or abtract. Results will appear below the menu of available papers. You may also browse the archive manually by selecting any of the available papers in the menu. Papers are organized by program and concentration, with a separate section for Kaplan Prize winning papers.
